Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh : Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is a renowned institution of higher learning located in the city of Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. It offers more than 300 courses in traditional and modern branches of education, drawing students from all states in India and from different countries, especially Africa, West Asia, and Southeast Asia. Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC) was established on October 2, 1962, and consistently ranks among the 10-20 best medical colleges in India. The college aims to be an institution of excellence in teaching and training healthcare professionals capable of providing empathetic, humanistic, and ethical care. The college has a highly qualified faculty, with the majority of the junior faculty having completed the MCI Basic Course in Medical Education Technology, and three FAIMER Fellows. JNMC offers an undergraduate course in medicine, namely MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery). The admission process involves appearing for the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
