Shanmugha Arts Science Technology & Research Academy, Thanjavur: Shanmugha Arts Science Technology & Research Academy, also known as SASTRA University, is a private deemed-to-be-university located in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India. The university was established in 1984 and was granted deemed university status in 2001 under Section 3 of the UGC Act by the Government of India in 1956.
