Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is a public research university located in Maidan Garhi, New Delhi, India. The university was established in 1985 with a budget of ?20 million, after the Parliament of India passed the Indira Gandhi National Open University Act, 1985 (IGNOU Act 1985). IGNOU is the largest university for distance/part-time education in the world and has been declared the largest institute of higher education by UNESCO and accredited by NAAC with an A++ grade. The university aims to provide quality higher education opportunities to all segments of society through distance and open education. Apart from teaching and research, extension and training form the mainstay of its academic activities.

IGNOU offers various programs, including undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate courses in various fields such as arts, science, commerce, management, education, and engineering. The university also offers a BBA in Retail distance learning course in association with. IGNOU has 21 schools and a network of 56 regional centers, 1843 study centers, and 21 overseas centers (in 15 countries).

The MBA program at IGNOU is a two-and-a-half-year program that is offered in distance mode. The program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the business world and develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed in a rapidly changing business environment. The course is divided into four semesters, and students are required to complete 21 core courses and four electives. The program covers a wide range of topics, including:
Management Functions and Behavior: This course covers the principles and practices of management, including planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling.
Managerial Economics: This course covers the principles and practices of economics, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, and managerial economics.
Marketing Management: This course covers the principles and practices of marketing, including market research, product development, pricing, promotion, and distribution.
Financial Management: This course covers the principles and practices of financial management, including financial analysis, budgeting, capital budgeting, and risk management.
Human Resource Management: This course covers the principles and practices of human resource management, including recruitment, selection, training, performance appraisal, and compensation.
Operations Management: This course covers the principles and practices of operations management, including production planning, inventory management, quality control, and supply chain management.
Information Technology Management: This course covers the principles and practices of information technology management, including database management, network management, and e-commerce.
