Indian Law Institute, New Delhi: The Indian Law Institute (ILI) is a Deemed University and socio-legal research institute, founded in 1956. It is located in New Delhi and primarily aims to promote and conduct legal research, education, and training. The Indian Law Institute offers a variety of courses, including L.L.M, Ph.D., and PG Diploma programs. The L.L.M program is a two-year course that provides students with an in-depth understanding of various legal subjects such as constitutional law, administrative law, criminal law, and international law. The course is designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue a career in law or academia. The Ph.D. program is a research-based course that allows students to specialize in a particular area of law and conduct research under the guidance of experienced faculty members. The PG Diploma programs are short-term courses that provide students with specialized knowledge in areas such as intellectual property rights, cyber law, and human rights.
The Indian Law Institute’s L.L.M course is one of its most popular programs. The course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of various legal subjects and equip them with the necessary skills to pursue a career in law or academia. The course is divided into four semesters, and students are required to complete a total of 80 credits to graduate. The first two semesters are dedicated to core subjects such as constitutional law, administrative law, and criminal law, while the third and fourth semesters allow students to specialize in a particular area of law. The course also includes a dissertation component, which requires students to conduct independent research on a legal topic of their choice.
