The National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), formerly known as the Karnataka Regional Engineering College (KREC), is a public technical university located in Surathkal, Mangalore, Karnataka, India. Established in 1960 under the name KREC, the institution is part of the group of 31 National Institutes of Technology in India. NITK holds the prestigious status of being designated as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India.

NITK offers undergraduate (B.Tech.), postgraduate (M.Tech., M.Sc., and Ph.D.) programs in engineering, science, and management.
